Shingles
Also known as Herpes Zoster, shingles refers to a viral infection that causes a rash (usually on one side of the body), with associated nerve pain. The condition comes from the Varicella Zoster virus – the virus that also leads to chickenpox. Treatment aims to control the infection and reduce the pain and inflammation.
